The hours of work are 37.5 hours per week, 09.00-17.00 Monday to Friday.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of secretarial and administrative functions. These include dealing with telephone enquiries, maintaining the Consultants diaries, arranging clinic appointments, typing clinic letters, entering appointment on the Trusts patient record system, RiO. The successful candidate must be able to work to tight deadlines, priorities, communicate effectively at all levels, with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, be able to work on their own initiative as well as being part of a team and understand the implications of confidentiality. It is important that you are adaptable to changing circumstances and be a quicker learner. You will also need to demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and have a flexible approach to work.
Candidates must be educated to GCSE standard, have 2 years administration /office experience, be computer literate, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and have typing speeds of between 60-70wpm. The successful applicant must also be able to take accurate minutes.
