To provide an efficient and effective administrative and clerical support service in line with service requirements. You will be expected to always project a positive and professional image.
Participate in all administrative and clerical duties within the Emergency Department and maintain professional code of conduct.
Use the hospital system to ensure that all data is correctly recorded. Register new patients, double registration resolution, and registered referrals. Prepare notes with labels and front sheet as appropriate.
Use the records to ensure the correct number is assigned to patients on company and update hospital system details if not provided at registration.
Ensure that all outpatient appointments such as EPAU, ENT and Fracture clinic are actioned.
Be confident and pro-active during a major incident in line with the Trust’s Major Incident policy.
Provide IT support to clinical staff.
The role is based in the front reception setting in the heart of a busy department. The role involves providing front of house for the department. You will require proven administrative background and a good telephone manner and excellent customer care skills is essential
