Job Description

Your day-to-day duties will adapt to meet the demand of the business and will ensure no two days are exactly the same. You’ll be the first port-of-call in ensuring the safety of our customers and clients based across a collection of sites around Manchester, with full site training and support every step of the way. We are looking for an experienced Security Officer to join us on a permanent basis. This role will be covering relief shifts on a full-time basis and will cover days, nights and weekends.

Previous experience in security is not a must, but if you're already working in the industry, or have before, we welcome you to join our team. We also welcome people who have worked previously in retail, travel, sales, recruitment or hospitality - jobs that rely on delivering great service. 

A typical week will involve visiting a range of sites within your area; ensuring the safety of our customers' staff, their buildings and assets, whilst providing excellent customer service with a smile. Other elements of the role will include:

• Building relationships with employers and community organizations
• Site opening and closing
• Scheduled patrols of customer premises
• Response to alarms at customer sites
• Dealing with any security incidents on site and completing relevant incident report forms

You'll be responsible for a wide variety of duties including the management of visitor passes, liaising with customers, gatehouse duties, checking in contractors, reception duties, alarm calls and issuing passes visitor vehicle checks.
