Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to be part of our premises and maintenance team within the school. The post holder will be required to work under the instruction and guidance of the Premises Supervisor. However, they should also be able to work unsupervised and use their own initiative. They must be physically fit and able to undertake physically demanding tasks, in order to support the premises team.

We are looking for individuals who preferably have a knowledge of working within a multi trade environment and who are keen to learn, assist and support the premises team and the gardener with daily tasks, ensuring the site is kept to a high standard at all times. A strong work ethic, reliability and self-motivation is essential for this role.

You will be required to have a basic understanding of Health and Safety and ensure that practices and procedures are adhered to. The candidate will ideally also have level 4/5 or grade C or above in numeracy and literacy. A full driving license is essential.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Be educated to level 4/5 or grade C and above or above in numeracy and literacy 
  • Be able to follow instructions and use own initiative
  • Be confident and highly motivated 
  • Be keen to learn and develop skills
  • Be physically fit 
  • Experience of working within a multi trade environment in a supportive role
  • Be honest, trustworthy, reliable and act with integrity
