Job Description
  • Greet patients and visitors to inpatient areas, directing them as appropriate and informing the relevant clinical staff of their arrival
  • Answer all telephone calls politely ensuring enquiries are dealt with appropriately and that any relevant information is passed on to the appropriate person
  • Ensure all relevant details are accurately entered on to the electronic patient administration system
  • Ensure appointments are offered to patients within National statutory waiting times, escalating to the Inpatient Team Leader when this is not possible
  • Communicate with service users in a sympathetic and empathetic manner using tact and diplomacy both in person and over the telephone.
  • To communicate effectively with all members of staff and external agencies ensuring that a professional manner is maintained at all times.

  • System knowledge of PAS (desirable)
