Offer general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone or online platform
Receive assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way
Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist the smooth running of the practice, including the provision of secretarial and clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the practice team
Facilitate effective communication between patients, members of the primary health care team, secondary care and other associated healthcare agencies
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
The effective use of training and development is fundamental in ensuring that all staff are equipped with the appropriate skills, knowledge, attitude and competences to perform their role.
All staff will be required to partake and complete mandatory training as directed by the training coordinator, as well as participating in the practice training programme.
Staff will also be permitted (subject to approval) to undertake external training courses which will enhance their knowledge and skills, progress their career and ultimately, enable them to improve processes and service delivery.
