Job Description
  • Leading on preparing the annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
  • Monthly management reporting which includes narrative summarising performance and variance analysis for the Global Marketing Function and its constituent elements, ensuring that both format and content are clear and engaging.
  • Monthly accounting for the cost of student acquisitions (being the cost of recruitment agent payments and the costs of our overseas marketing and recruitment networks).
  • Other monthly support to the financial accounting team in relation to overseas rep offices as needed.
  • Month-end pre-close division reviews to ensure monthly accounts are complete and accurate.
  • Working closely with the divisional finance and marketing teams to ensure consistent reporting of financial and non-financial metrics
  • Developing financial models to provide analysis to support strategic initiatives
  • Analysing complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes
  • Understanding and analysing key business drivers that affect business performance and the impact they have on achieving long-term financial plans.
  • Liaising with key budget holders regarding any account queries.
  • Working on special projects and other business requests as required.
  • Preparing monthly journals, where applicable, in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Ensuring balance sheet reconciliations, which fall under the role’s remit are prepared and reviewed in a timely manner.
  • Assisting with queries from external auditors.

You will be:

  • A strong ACCA/CIMA Finalist who can work with senior members of the business and build strong working relations. Previous business partnering experience will be beneficial but above all you will be a confident and articulate individual.
  • Flexible and adaptable to a challenging and changing business environment as the Global Pathways business grows and business demands change.
  • Able to take initiative and work autonomously if needed and be a team player that can assist others when required

  • Someone with excellent attention to detail and the ability identify issues and investigate problem areas,
  • Someone with good time management and organisational skills in planning your own work.
  • Someone with excellent interpersonal and business communication skills in person and in writing

Essential

  • Finalist ACCA/CIMA or recognised CCAB qualification with first time passes
  • Extensive knowledge of Excel including Pivot tables, vlookups, excel formulae

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Previous experience using Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains), and integrated reporting tools Previous finance project experience. This role would suit someone who has industry experience
