Job Description

You would be working alongside clinical staff, ward clerks and receptionists to assist in the smooth running of the busy ward. You will also be expected to undertake other administrative duties such as registering patients, making appointments, booking transport, filing, retrieving medical notes and answering calls both internally and externally.

We are looking for someone willing to be trained to a high standard, with excellent communication skills and ideally with customer care experience. You should have the ability to work independently and as part of the team, depending on the needs of the situation.

You should be able to work under pressure effectively as this is an extremely busy department and be able to deal with vulnerable and anxious clients. You should have a good working knowledge of computers and be able to manage your own time and priorities your workload.
