Job Description

To liaise closely with other Clinical administrator to ensure integration of functions and facilitate providing cover for periods of short-term absence.

All clinical administrator are expected to develop the knowledge and ability to provide cover for key elements of other departmental work. The specific elements to be covered by each Admin Officer will be specified by the Team Leader/Office manager who will also arrange appropriate training.

To deliver support services that are in line with our guidelines and targets.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• 5 GCSE’s or equivalent
• EITS or Equivalent
• NVQ2 in Business Administration or Customer Care or equivalent
• Key Skills Level 2 in Literacy or equivalent
• Experience of undertaking detailed, intensive work in a busy administrative environment
• Experience of using information technology such as Word and Excel in work-related activities.
• Experience of dealing sensitively with client/patient concerns in emotive and distressing circumstances.
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to use own skill and judgment to select the most appropriate action from a range of alternative approaches
• Good level of verbal and written communications
• Good interpersonal and listening skills
• Able to handle difficult and distressing situations effectively
• Able to priorities own workload to set and meet deadlines
• Able to compose correspondence and reports
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Good working knowledge of relevant Microsoft office packages i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook
• Able to present information to others
• Able to influence, advise and motivate others
• Good understanding of general office working procedures
