You should enjoy working with the general public and dealing with their enquiries, excellent customer service skills are therefore essential. You will book patients in when they arrive for their appointments, make patient appointments, order prescription requests via the computer, action tasks from the doctors, answer the telephone and deal with a wide range of patient enquiries.
If you have had previous GP Practice experience we would love to hear from you, experience is desirable but not essential as we would provide training to the right candidate. The right candidate should be able to evidence their experience of working with the general public in an advisory role, you will need to be computer literate, have telephone experience in a busy environment and be able to multi task.
The job also does rely on a certain amount of flexibility to cover holidays and sickness.
