Job Description

You will be responsible for providing clinic administration and reception support to patients attending Outpatient Clinics and Dialysis sessions; this will include receiving and greeting patients into clinic areas whilst recording the patient’s attendance and clinical outcome on the Patient Center. You will also be responsible for providing an appointment booking service to enable patients to book future appointments when leaving the department, this role may develop into the booking of future appointments. The Reception Service opening hours are 7:00am to 6.30pm Monday to Saturday.
There will a requirement on a rota system for a flexible working approach to provide when required reception cover at other sites.
Responsibility for directly receiving patients checking all patient demographic details are complete and updated on Patient Centre. Admitting patients to the Dialysis unit,
Responsible for providing an efficient appointment booking service when the patient is entering and leaving the clinic area.
Responsible for the clerical processes associated with the non-attendance to out-patient clinics
Responsible for dealing with telephone enquiries from secretaries, wards and other department’s relevant systems.
Responsible for the booking of patient follow-up appointments within agreed timescales whilst ensuring that bookings are made within the strict parameters of the clinical schedules.
