Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Group Financial Controller, or Comptroller, to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. Finance Controller responsibilities will also include financial risk management.

• Lead the annual and interim Group audit process including dealing with external auditors, agreeing timetables and ensuring timely delivery of audit information and audit closure.
• Oversee subsidiary audits, working in co-ordination with Regional Financial Controllers to align to the Group audit cycle, ensuring filing deadlines are met.
• Prepare Annual Statutory Accounts for Group and subsidiary companies.
• Ensure Group compliance with statutory reporting requirements including statutory accounts submissions, share registrations, shareholder filings.
• Work in conjunction with the FP&A team to prepare Board and internal reporting packs with insightful commentary.
• Prepare quarterly covenant certificates and any other bank reporting as required.
• In conjunction with external advisors, lead the preparation and filing of Group tax returns and making the associated payments.
• Manage the Group’s Treasury operations including ensuring Group and subsidiary liquidity including the production of accurate cash flow forecasts
• Ensure the integrity of the Group and subsidiary general ledgers by way of effective reconciliation procedures and through maintaining a strong control environment
• Oversee the prompt financial integration of any acquired entities
• Lead, motivate and develop direct and indirect reports within the Financial Control function, ensuring opportunities are provided for career development and staff retention

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Experience working in a $100m+ turnover, private equity backed, international businesses across multiple jurisdictions Recognised accounting qualification with >8 years post qualification experience Strong financial controllership experience including reporting, financial processes, tax, treasury and audit Experience of technology/consulting businesses highly desirable Diligent, excellent communication skills, smart, can work at pace, great management capabilities, ability to manage multiple stakeholders English speaking Highly numerate
