Type accurate clinical diagnostic reports, some with a potentially distressing or emotional content Liaise/communicate with consultant medical staff and other Health Professionals to ensure clinical reports are accurate and produced in a timely manner.
Communicate appointment details to patients over the phone. Some patients may be anxious or have cultural or language difficulties.
Assist in the organization of the workload of the departmental Consultant staff.
Work closely with the Admin Lead and Performance Manager to ensure the smooth running of the unit.
Maintain diaries by appropriate booking and scheduling of patient appointments using hospital patient administration systems.
Deal with telephone enquiries
Liaise with wards to arrange appointments for in-patients
