Job Description
You will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of all Catering and Retail events. They will act as a Liaison between Retail and Catering for all incoming and relevant events/bookings to ensure the effective organization of the department. The area of focus for this role will cover Catering-Internal groups, visitors, special events, ticketed events. For Retail the role will cover wine tastings, ticketed events, special events.
Key responsibilities: -
- Creating function sheets & ensuring appropriate recharging
- Providing support to Administrator for invoicing and purchasing
- Assisting with Commercial activities across the site, Pop-up bars, and
- Pop-up Retail units.
- Assisting with Waddesdon ‘special Events’ such as Chilli Fest, Christmas, Theatre etc.
- Liaising with Marketing regarding incoming bookings and booking enquiries
- Meet with interested parties regarding potential events – wines tastings, catering for
- meetings, private dinners, bespoke lunches and large events.
- Delivering Ticketing information to ensure events are on sale in good time
- Acting as a liaison for the Head of Catering & Retail to ensure information is with key stakeholders
- Coordinating groups pre-arrival information – i.e./ timings, allergies, food and drink requirements
- Acting as a ‘meet and greet’ at all Catering and Retail events and working with the relevant managers and chefs to ensure smooth delivery of service
- Liaising with Visitor Services in House Tours & bookings for groups also using Retail & Catering during their visit.
- Coordinating Catering services for events within the Manor – and ensuring they are delivered on time
- Planning & booking rooms / spaces for events.
- Supporting management team in delivering events across the site.
- Updating the operations plan for inter-business communications
- Provide events assistance to the departments where appropriate
