Job Description

To manage the financial performance of the service and to support with education staffing and education marketing.

  • Manages the financial performance of the service in terms of financial planning, performance and controls ensuring that the service makes the best possible use of resources available.
  • As a key member, participates in decision and policy making, in response to local community needs and government priorities.
  • Undertakes proactive financial modelling of the impact of changes to curriculum from a funding and delivery perspective of the implications accordingly.
  • Formulates the annual budget in line with service priorities, funding allocations and income generation. Draws up the annual estimates, monitors and reports predicted outturn to SMT, central Finance.
  • Manages the implementation of the terms and conditions for staff, ensuring that they are fairly and appropriately up-dated, maintained and applied and deals with staff queries regarding pay and conditions.
  • Ensures that work processes regarding payroll, governor support and income generation/marketing are developed and sustained in line with agreed objectives and targets.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

You will need to: hold a degree or equivalent at level 4, preferably have a qualification in Business Management or Accountancy, have experience managing budgets and business accounts, have an excellent working knowledge of using spreadsheets to monitor accounts, demonstrate innovation and actively engage in positive cross organizational communications and team working.
