Job Description

Full time, 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday 6 months minimum£21-27 per hour.

You will supervise the accountant to prepare and analyze a range of financial information, work with and support budget holders to deliver budgets and forecasts and support the preparation and analysis of internal and external benchmarking data. You will provide financial support with the monthly close of the management accounts, deliver the budgets and forecasts, and be responsible for the production of standard and ad-hoc financial information.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Previous accountant / Management accountant experience - within housing would be beneficial but not essential.
• Experience with analyzing data and gathering reports of budgets and forecasting.
• Financial reconciliation experience · Experience of producing monthly financial performance, annual budgets and in-year forecasts.
• High level of attention to detail
• Able to confidently review business decisions and be able to challenge senior management in a professional and commercial manner·
• You must be proactive in seeking commercial opportunities to enhance financial performance·
• You must be able to establish and develop close working relationships with the Business Managers·
• You must be analytical and be able to consistently review the market and highlight any potential risks to the financial performance.
• You must be self-motivated and role model appropriate behaviors
• You must be able to manage small scale budgets for projects and be adaptable.
