Job Description

This role requires excellent attention to detail as there is lots of export documentation to complete. Knowledge of shipping lanes, couriers and familiarity with International Commercial Terms would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily customer sale shipments and orders from dispatch to courier collection.
  • Complete export documentation (Packing List, Invoice, Insurance Certificate, Dangerous Goods Note, Customs Entry).
  • Responsible for signing off import records.
  • Upload data on courier portals to initiate collection and follow through on transit updates.
  • Liaise with various outside organizations to obtain documentation from courier companies / customs agents.
  • Use customer portals to provide updates on deliveries.
  • Store and archive shipment files.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Understanding of import/export procedures, export controlled goods and hazardous/dangerous goods
  • Familiar with UK Government trade regulations and UK tariff codes
  • Familiar with FC (Free Circulation) and IPR (Inward Processing Relief)
  • Excellent Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word skills
  • Good attention to detail and work proficiently under pressure
  • Knowledge of Incoterms (International Commercial Terms)
  • Previous experience working in a cross-functional team to execute an end to end shipping process
