Job Description

You will be responsible for providing a comprehensive range of Group accounting and corporate financial reporting services, including assisting the annual external audit and production of Financial Statements.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in the production of monthly, quarterly and ad hoc reporting following statutory requirements
  • Assist in maintaining the necessary relevant records, chart of accounts and systems in respect of the Group including ensuring the integrity, accuracy and consistency of financial and accounting records and performing monthly reconciliation
  • Perform monthly Group consolidation entries and reconciliations for the Group
  • Assist in the review and maintaining of financial control measures across Group entities
  • Assist in the production of the annual financial statements for the Group, and the management of external audit processes from interim through to final audit
  • Assist in consolidated budget and forecasting including allocation and analysis of overheads
  • Provide technical accounting expertise around the activities and portfolios including expert knowledge of the applicable Financial Reporting Standards (FRS) and Housing SORP.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Qualified Accountant with a strong academic record
  • Practical knowledge / experience in Group consolidation and financial accounting under FRS102 preferred
  • Experience in producing statutory accounts for entities and Group
  • Experience in finance essential, including, management reporting, business partnering and year-end audit.
  • Experience in external audit desirable
  • Organized and able to plan/priorities work against a published timetable
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with solid commercial acumen with keen eye for detail
  • Excellent communication skills with proven business partnering experience
  • Experience in a property business or previously external audit desirable.
  • Advanced IT skills including Excel and other Financial Information and Business Intelligence systems e.g. power BI.
