Job Description
  • Lead and develop a commercial finance team at the heart of business decision making. Provide support and challenge to the company leadership team through business partnering.
  • Develop relevant and insightful performance reporting. Highlighting key issues/ opportunities to the Board and key stakeholders.
  • Oversight of all daily, weekly and monthly reporting (Daily sales, monthly Board pack and monthly Board pack)
  • Developing, refining and constantly improving finance information/ ERP systems to underpin effective reporting and planning. And enabling agile analysis. That are appropriate for a scaling business.
  • Develop “self-serve” capabilities that enable people to do their jobs.
  • Lead and improve/ refine the company planning cycle.
  • Own and develop a planning cycle for a business in growth
  • Management and coordination of Annual budget and re-forecast
  • Management of strategic plan (2 year & 4 year)
  • Ensuring a smooth process that delivers realistic and challenging performance targets
  • Provide analysis and actionable insight on the key drivers of performance, and drive actions
    • Key examples:
      • Control and drive focus projects agenda
      • Clear insight into the landed cost picture of products, and drive actions.
      • Highlight risks and opportunities
  • Assist the business in the evaluation of new opportunities and business change. And measuring success in the short, medium and long term.
  • Leadership:
    • Managing an FP&A manager, and Commercial finance analyst
    • Develop a team that can meet the demands of a scaling, changing, growth business
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships across the business.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Problem solving positive attitude
  • Qualified accountant
  • Sector experience required (consumer goods with multiple supply routes)
  • Excellent people skills. Experience managing a small to medium sized high performing finance team
  • Credible communicator
  • Experience within a growth environment
  • Highly driven individual with a hands-on deck mentality
