Job Description

The role will involve working predominantly with members of the internal tax team and some work with the finance team and wider parts of the firm.

  • Preparation of various schedules required to complete/support the tax computations, in particular the firm’s PAYE Settlement Agreement. This will involve:
  • Extraction, reconciliation of accounting entries and analysis of data systems, including SAP, Concur, e-Payables etc
  • Liaising with other internal information providers to ensure accuracy of analysis
  • Reporting analysis and findings to members of the team
  • Assisting with ongoing data analysis relating to our wider tax affairs, for example, overseas tax filing requirements.
  • Handling other ad hoc tasks and projects as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to extract, assimilate and analyze information quickly and accurately
  • Strong knowledge of excel
  • Willingness to handle detail, an investigative nature and ability to get things right
  • Respect for confidential information
  • Self-starter, good organizational skills are essential but also the ability to recognize when to ask for advice
  • Able to work well in a team environment.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with peers, senior and junior team members is essential.
  • No tax experience is required, although it is expected that the successful candidate will develop their understanding of how certain items are treated for tax purposes
