Job Description
The role has been designed to support Faculty and Registry to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of the Theology and Counselling Programme, associated activities and key Registry activities. The duties of the post-holder can be summarized from two perspectives: Registry activities and Programme activities. The following key tasks are indicative of the role, rather than exhaustive, and tasks may be amended in response to changing requirements or in line with the skills and experience of the post-holder.
- Organize and confirm student DBS checks.
- Provide students with supporting letters for BACP applications.
- Produce and distribute student groups for counselling modules in the timetable.
- Counselling residential weekends: Arrange the Counselling weekends in a timely manner and communicate key dates to students and staff.
- Creating 1st and 2nd tier marking schedules for all assessed work.
- Preparing and distributing material for all practical and written exams.
- Liaising with External Examiners.
- Updating extension/extenuating circumstances information.
- Releasing, entering and double-checking marks for the counselling and other programmes in preparation for assessment boards and submitting correct marks to the Registrar in a timely manner.
- Playing an active part in the preparation of Assessment Boards for all programmes and being present to participate; this may include taking minutes.
- In liaison with the Programme Leader, coordinating the level 6 student project proposal process, approval by external examiners, and ensuing all projects have supervisors, 1st and 2nd markers allocated to them by the Programme leader/Academic Dean. Coordinating the processing of module feedback forms.
- Administer the delivery of Programme Boards including booking rooms, distributing agendas and papers, taking minutes and liaising with External Examiners regarding reports and participation.
