Job Description
The responsibilities cover transactional work, month end P&L analysis and balance sheet reconciliations. A big focus will be process improvement as we upgrade our accounts system this year, there is huge scope for change and we welcome new ideas!
- Calculation and posting of weekly stock movement journals
- Month end update of stock take results into store shrinkage provision workings
- Month end stock accrual
- Daily refund fallback journal upload for ecommerce returns to stores
- Post faulty goods write off journals
- Full responsibility for monthly P&L analysis & reporting for postage and packaging, credit card charges, cash collection charges, invalid card receipts (chargebacks), repairs and service contracts
- Review monthly P&L figures vs. budget with budget holders across the business
- Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts for key cutting control accounts, freight & duty control accounts, carrier bag control accounts
- New vendor credit checks, new vendor set up & change of vendor details in accounts system
- Pro-active improvements to processes and spreadsheets
- Provide assistance to the Financial Controller, Finance Manager and others on ad hoc projects
