As QA Supervisor, the purpose of your job is to manage the day-to-day quality management system within a food factory environment plus foster great teamwork between the Production and Quality teams, supporting the business as a whole.
Core duties:
Manage an effective Quality team and carry out any training as required
Overall responsibility for BRC v8 and managing HACCP on the site
Manage the complaints system ensuring that fully detailed investigations are carried out
Manage and lead the HACCP team
Ensure all specifications are up to date and legally compliant
Monitor food quality against defined standards
Undertake and maintain supplier approval processes
Ensure and carry out internal audits of the quality, HACCP and hygiene systems
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
To be considered for the QA Supervisor job, you will ideally be educated to a degree level in a food science, food technology or food safety discipline and have a solid quality assurance/technical track record within food production. Experience of working with QMS and BRC v.8 is essential plus you will have previously been responsible for supervising other QA team members. You will also be HACCP qualified (ideally Level 3). A background of working with ambient, flour based products is an advantage.
