Job Description

We have an exciting new opportunity within our Broker Support team as a Credit Controller, working closely and managing relationships with LV=’s Brokers.

Working within a close knit team, your role will be contacting Brokers to make sure their accounts are paid on time, dealing with any queries over the phone and via email, as well as liaising with different areas within the business whilst working towards monthly targets.

This is a Fixed Term Contract opportunity for 12 months that can be based in either our Brentwood OR Croydon office - initially the position will involve home working.

Details

  • Provide variance reports, on a monthly basis, to the sales executive advising any poor performing brokers and what action plans are required for resolution.
  • Contribute to the monthly MI pack with specific broker commentary on broker payments, highlighting any variances.
  • Develop, and manage by way of regular meetings and telephone conversations, the internal relationships between accounts collection at LV= broker and other areas of the business.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
To be successful in this position you will have a keen eye for detail and be able to identify and reconcile balances owed to LV=. You will be a confident communicator and will be able to handle difficult conversations in a professional manner when chasing Brokers for payments. You will possess good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel. You’ll be a goal driven individual whilst seeking to recover owed debt, and will have the initiative to manage your own workload. You will have the support of a wider team so team working skills is also important. You’ll know your way around basic computer systems and will ideally have experience using Microsoft Excel. We don’t expect people do know our internal computer systems, but you will be keen to learn and develop through excellent training and guidance. Experience may have been gained in a finance or credit control role, insurance experience would be advantage but isn’t essential.
