Job Description

The area provides seamless support for curriculum staff in the management of their data records, funding details, financial information and exam arrangements while ensuring compliance with cross college processes that secure public funding and student success. All members of the team work collaboratively with key contacts across the college to develop and foster systems that effectively support each phase of the student journey.

  • To maintain the helpdesk, inbox and telephone lines within agreed SLAs
  • Process and ensure accuracy in the recording of learner data by utilizing college tools, including the central learner records databases to maintain and update college data and records.
  • Support curriculum areas in the maintenance and management of their timetables and attendance data.
  • To work collaboratively with the key contacts in the curriculum and business partner areas in order to develop and foster systems that support the student journey
  • To contribute to the development of processes and procedures to ensure completeness and accuracy of learner record and attendance data
  • Ensure that data is held in compliance, funding guidance and audit requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of the student records systems and audit requirements.
  • To provide support as necessary for other parts of the College as appropriate
  • As part of this apprenticeship, you will be required to undertake one study day each week where you will be expected to complete assignments and set tasks assigned to you to enhance your learning. In addition, attend and participate in the monthly workshops either online or onsite
  • To model in your day to day practice both internally and externally the philosophy and values of the College and in particular take responsibility for promoting equality and diversity.
  • To carry out duties at all times in accordance with the College’s equal opportunities, health and safety and risk management policies and procedures.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Good basic level of education (GCSE English and Math at Grade C/4 or equivalent)
  • Experience of working in an office/administrative environment
  • Experience of monitoring data compliance
  • Experience of data entry or data maintenance
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office and using IT solutions to solve problems
  • Accuracy and precision in written communication
  • Curious and interested in learning more about funding rules in Further Education and using data
  • Motivated to work in a customer focused way
