You will be working as a Regulatory Reporting Controller in the Prudential Advisory & Reporting team. This is an exciting space to be working in giving you great exposure across the whole Bank and to a diverse set of systems.
What will you be responsible for?
The following lists the core responsibilities but there may be other non-core responsibilities that will form part of the role as required:
Assisting in the production of monthly capital position (credit & market risk) as well as Bank of England statistical returns, quarter-end COREP returns for both Investec Bank plc and Investec plc, SARB returns and other regulatory returns to ensure that the group complies with the rules as prescribed by the PRA/SARB
Collection and analysis of data from various sources, in order to complete prudential returns and on-going investigation as needed to ensure accurate reporting and remediation of data issues
Monthly reconciliation of regulatory data to the general ledger to ensure completeness and accuracy of regulatory exposures
Pillar 3 reporting
Own funds and Leverage Ratio
Monthly desk reporting
Improving and automating processes
What core skills and knowledge do we look for?
Knowledge & Experience:
Qualified accountant with Regulatory Reporting experience
Knowledge of COREP returns
Knowledge of Bank of England statistical returns
Banking background with banking product knowledge
Knowledge of CRDIV
Detailed financial markets product knowledge with regulatory rule book overlap
Good working knowledge of standardised credit and market risk capital calculations
