Job Description

To be successful in this role you need to have previous mid-office and back-office experience but also be comfortable supporting all areas of Treasury activity where required. This role interacts with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and covers a number of complex regulatory divisions.

  • Supporting Regional Treasury to achieve the objectives related to the global bank account management initiatives for Region; the candidate will assist treasury on the bank administration’s side (including all aspects from any propaedeutic DALs, Bank Resolutions, Compliance related matters and mapping definition of the cash structures and related activities).
  • Supporting the team liaising internally and externally with various stakeholders (QBE Local branches, FTP, Banks) to guarantee full operational coverage and continuity of the pre-existing banking services in the Region for both receivables and payables’ sides (including inward and outward cheques, salary and tax payments, inward and outward arrangements and similar).
  • Supporting the team with IT enhancement projects (reporting, payment and connectivity, configuration) to minimize manual intervention and documenting procedures on all the bank admin processes.
  • Contributing to compliance of Team processes and adherence to key controls adopted by Global Treasury.
  • Monitoring of treasury risk related exposures ensuring adherence and compliance to our policies and local regulatory standards and practices and ensure that all treasury activities are benchmarked and analyzed for best execution and effective risk control.
  • Being able to provide with team coverage for the daily admin of Cash and liquidity activities and duties re to Letters of Credit and other associated collateral management requirements.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Previous treasury experience
  • Graduated and obtained a professional qualification (Accountancy and/or Treasury) or equivalent
  • Previous experience in Banking or Insurance
  • Experience of Mid-office / Back office; working on systems in a bank or corporate environment
  • Excellent business acumen, be open minded and be eager to learn
  • Ability to be Flexible and Adaptable and be able to cover others in the
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment
