Job Description
Full training will be provided where necessary depending on your experience, the main thing this firm is looking for is a bright, ambitious candidate who wants to learn and do well in their career. You will be responsible for preparing statutory accounts and corporation tax returns for a wide range of clients (50% of your role) and assisting with audit assignments from planning to completion (the other 50% of your role). Your role will be varied, challenging and hugely enjoyable with great progression prospects on offer. You will gain exposure to a wide range of international clients, including groups, from sectors including media and entertainment, architecture, engineering, property, technology, retail and other interesting sectors. Many of the audit clients are subsidiarys of very large US listed companies. This firm has had great success with people who have trained outside of London and want to relocate to a London firm for the exposure and opportunities on offer. The firm mainly uses CCH and Xero. The firm also offer flexible / hybrid working and your role will probably involve working 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
You will either be studying the AAT in a good quality accountancy firm and looking to upgrade to a more challenging role, or you will be a recent graduate looking for your first trainee accountant role, studying either the ACA or ACCA. You must be well presented, be a team player, and be looking to progress at a rapid pace.
