Job Description
You will be required to develop a good understanding of the clinical research funding environment including cost attribution. The post holder will be responsible for preparing and assisting in the preparation of costing proformas for non-commercial Grant applications as well as assisting in costing where we are participating as a site in a study.
- Confirming Receipting invoices and checking that correct reference is attached and sent to accounts payable for payment.
- Investigate unusual situations such as a delay and invoice requests.
- Support in maintaining the income and costing trackers. This will include analysis of the spreadsheets to ensure data completion and putting in place an action plan to ensure missing data is collected. Liaison with individual grant holders may be required.
- Check all data in the tracker and costing tracker spreadsheets to ensure it is up to date and accurate.
- Provide information required by Management Accountants for accruals and prepayments.
- Support the Research Governance team with early termination of studies. Re costing to re-coup money loss as per the termination clause.
- Ensure there is a clear set of objectives and development plans and participate in regular performance appraisal meetings.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, mandatory training together with any professional training requirements, ensuring they are up to date and fully compliant.
- Responsible administration related to own absences including sickness in line with Trust policy ensuring the appropriate return to work meetings occur, e-roster is updated and productivity is at keep to the highest possible level.
- The post holder has a general duty of care for their own health, safety and wellbeing and that of work colleagues, visitors and patients within the hospital, in addition to any specific risk management or clinical governance accountabilities associated with this post.
- To observe and maintain strict confidentiality of personal information relating to patients and staff.

- The post holder has an important responsibility for and contribution to infection control and must be familiar with the infection control and hygiene requirements of this role.
