Providing administrative support to the process, including giving help to research staff and students.
Supporting the ethics process including registering applications, updating the ethics database, updating research ethics system (currently Converis), compiling relevant committee papers.
Assisting with the organization and provision of training and the administration of training.
Maintaining of external and internal websites.
Maintaining a thorough and up-to-date understanding of University guidance.
Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with colleagues and external collaborators including staff and students from other Directorates and Faculties.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Demonstrable experience of working in university administration.
An interest in research ethics issues and a willingness to develop knowledge and understanding in this area.
Experience of working with the Microsoft suite of programmes.
Strong appreciation of the requirements of confidentiality and discretion.
An understanding of centralized database management systems.
Team-working experience, as well as the ability to work on your own initiative.
