Job Description
  • Accurate and timely completion of month end activities.
  • Ownership of book-keeping and month-end processes for one of our Short line entities in Sage
  • Preparing and uploading journals during the month and at month end.
  • Running financial enquiry reports in Sage and CODA and interrogating financial data in Excel.
  • Reconciling intercompany balances with group entities, resolving differences and, in turn, obtaining signed intercompany agreements.
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations by obtaining supporting documentation and completing variance analysis.
  • Establish effective business relationships within the company, particularly with the Operations analyst and the Financial Planning and Analysis teams, to ensure efficient query resolution and to develop knowledge of the business.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

You will have previous Accounts Assistant experience within a fast paced environment, excellent organizational skills, with good attention to detail and a can do attitude. You will also be studying for a professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA). A good working knowledge of Excel is a must with familiarity of V-lookups as a minimum standard.
