Job Description

You will enjoy working with a degree of autonomy and will be conscientious and well organized. You should have proven ability to process data and information with a high level of attention to detail, be able to evidence a track record of experience working with confidential information, to deliver positive outcomes within agreed deadlines.

We Can offer:

  • A full-time 37.5 hour week position working Monday to Friday 9am-5pm with a degree of flexibility in set start and finish times.
  • A starting salary of £20,330 per annum/pro rata with annual pay rises within NHS Agenda for Change regulations.
  • Up to 41 days annual leave a year depending on previous Service (including bank holidays).

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • You must have effective communication and listening skills with an excellent telephone manner and be able to liaise politely and professionally with colleagues internally and externally.
  • You must have a discreet and confidential manner when processing sensitive patient information.
  • It is essential that you are computer literate with good typing and spread sheet skills.
  • You must be able to analyze data to create accurate patient information with meticulous attention to detail being a must!
  • You must be a caring individual and be passionate about high quality care.
  • You must be an effective communicator with good listening and written skills
  • You must have good all-round administration skills
  • You must be organized, meticulous in detail
  • You must have good typing skills and have experience using Microsoft Office including Word and email
  • You must be proficient in Microsoft Excel to record and maintain patient information.
  • Have experience of working with confidential and sensitive information, or an awareness of the importance of confidentiality and a willingness to work within the information governance requirements
  • Have experience with data processing and inputting data into spreadsheets and electronic data storage systems is required
  • You must have the ability to multi-task between incoming emails / phone calls, face-to-face queries and daily administrative tasks and stay focused under pressure
  • You must be a good team player
  • You must be keen to learn new skills as required
  • Applicants should have had experience in a similar role and be able to evidence previous work that they have undertaken.
