The candidate must be very hands-on, detail oriented, and have strong organization and communication skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide support for year-end financial reporting and management of the audit for entities in the U.K. and Ireland
Maintain the integrity of the balance sheet and P&L with a strong understanding of data and the drivers of business performance including revenues, costs, P&L and balance sheet
Provide oversight of functions centralized with US Parent
Prepare financial regulatory submissions in relevant jurisdictions including UK, Ireland, Germany, Netherlands and South Africa
Monitor regulatory capital and produce financial modelling for internal reporting including the ICAAP
Finance delegate in the firm’s CASS committee
Assist with corporate tax returns in EMEA and complete the VAT returns in UK
Manage the credit card program and expense reporting process
Manage the billing process for local separate accounts
Produce regular cashflow forecasts and help to monitor liquidity of the firm
Review and approve bank payments as an account signatory
Support new and ongoing projects as needed
Work closely with wider global team to help identify best practice and create efficiencies in processes
Assist in developing more robust management information and financial modelling/forecasting
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
A degree in a relevant discipline is highly preferred Accounting qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent) Over five years PQE or equivalent ideally with the majority in financial services Experience working with multiple jurisdictions in Europe in the financial services industry would be an advantage Ability to work with multiple stakeholders at all levels of seniority across a number of different departments Able to work cohesively in a team environment Strong attention to detail especially when working on multiple simultaneous tasks and projects
