Job Description

You will enjoy considerable autonomy and responsibility for the delivery of internal audit services across a varied and interesting range of topics, working individually or as part of a small team. You will have wide exposure to senior departmental management as well as its processes, structure and activities. You will be the deputy account manager for a large complex business organization within the department. This will give you plenty of opportunity to further develop your stakeholder engagement skills as well as advise and shape the organization’s assurance requirements in relation to its strategic risks.

You will be required to lead and mentor a team of professionally qualified or partially qualified auditors. You will therefore need to be an experienced individual with strong leadership and communication skills.
You will be expected to undertake a number of tasks including:

• Background research on the client organization.
• Identification of business objectives and risks underpinning DIA assignments;
• Working with Clients to construct audit remits.
• Developing detailed audit work and testing plans
• Carrying out audit fieldwork including the testing and evaluation of risk processes and control mechanisms.
• Production of Audit Reports detailing the findings and overall assurance opinion
• Personally communicating the audit report findings to the executive responsible
• Stakeholder management - working with audit clients and audit team members;
• Undertake quality review activity on the work of team
