Job Description

You’ll routinely carry basic out health & safety, fire safety and warden call system checks ensuring compliance and will be responsible for identifying and managing risk including safeguarding, taking accountability (in collaboration with your manager) for ensuring that appropriate actions are taken, and controls are in place to manage the risk.
You will visit our residential sites, making the most of your visit by working there providing ongoing resident support and advice to ensure that our customers understand their rights and responsibilities in connection with their tenancy agreement. Ensuring the customer has the right information and help, at the right time, which will include the provision of benefit assistance or advice regarding the rent and service charges and any support to enable customers to remain independent. You’ll also get involved with coordinating activity programmes!
We offer a very generous package including the following:
Holidays – 25 days to start (this rises with service to a maximum of 30 days) plus 3 paid days between Xmas and new year when we close, plus the opportunity to buy up to another 5 days – subject to conditions (pro rata for part time)

Pension scheme: employee minimum contribution of 3% and Paradigm will contribute 7.5% or 9.5% depending on the employee’s contribution rate.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience of working in a housing environment specifically an older person or independent living scheme.
  • Highly customer focused
  • You’ll need a full driving license (preferably clean) and your own vehicle for travelling to sites (Business mileage will be paid at 45p per mile less home to work commute)
  • Good IT skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel)
  • Good numerical skills and the ability to support the monitoring of budgets.
  • A motivated and committed self-starter with strong organizational skills, with a passion to deliver innovative services.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate information clearly and effectively with others, having the confidence to make good decisions.
  • Thinks practically and logically and produces high-quality work, overcoming problems/issues to meet deadlines.
  • Deliver excellent customer service, including response and resolution of customer feedback and complaints.
