Job Description

In addition assist in routine and ad hoc duties related to daily accounts control and month end accounts production and provide cover for the Finance Assistant.

Typical duties will include:

  • Manage the daily dunning and collection process including providing regular updates to senior management,
  • Manage the legal collection process in conjunction with external lawyers
  • Work closely with the operations team and senior underwriter to reflect any agreed changes to leasing contract payment schedules
  • Make and track payments with daily record of bank download and cash sheets to allocate payments / receipts
  • Process payments and supporting documents / invoices
  • Reconcile supplier invoices received with lease agreements
  • Issue invoices and direct debit requests to customers
  • Validate invoices against items or services received
  • Reconcile the bank accounts

The desired candidate will have:

Strong experience of credit control and debt collection ideally within a financial services environment.

Experience with bookkeeping practices and integrated accounting packages,

Administrative skills, Organisational skills, Attention to detail, Professional approach to debt collection and resolution of issues, Analytical skills, Knowledge of accountancy principals, rules and legislation, Ability to detect inconsistencies.

Role will suit someone either AAT, part qualified and/or CICM qualified.
