Job Description
You will be someone that are able to take direction, use your initiative and have the confidence to ask relevant questions in order to achieve results.
- To manage the periodic reporting process, ensuring that the information generated is used to challenge performance and drive action.
- To generate ad-hoc information (normally overhead, cash or balance sheet related) to support the analysis of business performance.
- To co-ordinate the generation of the capital, cash and balance sheet forecast, providing commentary and explanation of movements.
- To review and develop the financial control systems (e.g. Asset verification, PO authority limits, CEP’s), ensuring this is aligned with Group audit standards and is being consistently applied.
- To manage the month end and balance sheet process.
- Ensure the process is robust, efficient and that all balance sheet accounts are reviewed and understood.
- All reports are to be submitted in line with reporting deadlines.
- To review and understand actual cash performance and forecast short-term cash requirements.
- Influence the key drivers of working capital.
- To co-ordinate and communicate with group functions (e.g. internal audit, tax department) and external parties (e.g. external audit) as required.
- Ensure that reporting and control systems are reviewed and modified to comply with group standards.
- Manage the financial systems (ERP, Fixed Assets, Reporting Systems etc), to ensure they are operating and are being used efficiently and effectively, and that the integrity of the information held within them is maintained.
- To manage a Finance Team. To recruit, lead and motivate the team to achieve agreed service levels, and to develop and continually improve.
