Your new role
In this job you will sit at the top of the finance team, dealing with all aspects of accounts. This will include being responsible for financial and administrative functions, maximising income from charity events, working with the Quickbooks accountancy package.
Alongside this, your job duties will involve weekly cash flow forecasting, producing and presenting management accounts, drafting budgets, posting monthly accruals and prepayments, as well as other month end journals. You will also deal with BACS payments, liaise with an external payroll company and auditors, and handle bank reconciliations.
You will also be expected to deal with ad hoc duties requested by the chief executive.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be able to hit the ground running in this job so will have experience in the majority of aspects of the accountancy duties listed above. You will be expected to go above and beyond these core job duties and demonstrate a genuine passion for the role and charity.
You will be IT savvy, ideally with experience using Quickbooks, and be able to keep up with the fast paced environment within this organisation, meeting strict and regular deadlines.
