Job Description
To assist the Financial Accounting Manager with the management and statutory accounts for the Clients Charitable Trusts, Fraud Advisory Panel, Staff Pension Fund and Professional Accountants.
Including reconciliation of investments, grant schedules, budgets and forecasting and direct liaison with external auditors.
Preparation of year end audit files and working papers
Managing the workload and priorities of direct reports.
Monitor the quality of the team's work and take action where appropriate to ensure that the quality is maintained at the agreed standard.
Train and develop the team to ensure their knowledge and skills are appropriate for their role.
Ensure regular review of Team's objectives are monitored and corrective action taken when necessary
Responsible to ensure the provision of complete financial support to some District Societies, including quarterly or monthly management accounts as required, regular management information (including aged debtors and creditors, financial outcome of events and courses), statutory returns (e.g., VAT returns) and annual reports and financial accounts.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Accountancy qualification - AAT as a minimum desirable
Financial background, transactional accounting experience to statutory accounts.
Knowledge of accounting packages including QuickBooks and NAV
Someone who can hit the ground running, friendly, team player
2 years financial and bookkeeping experience is desirable
Previous team management, including training & development of staff preferable but not essential.
