Job Description
The primary responsibilities of this role are set out below. You should be flexible and willing to undertake additional responsibilities and assist the tax department:
- Support the broking and consulting teams to achieve their business goals by synchronizing the tax advice with business objectives.
- Provide written VAT(Value-added tax) advice to UK and international projects.
- Provide regular VAT advice on day-to-day business.
- Project management – coordinate meetings with external and internal resources, track schedules, prepare slides, reports, and other documents.
- Manage registrations and digital compliance of UK companies providing e-services to overseas clients.
- Coordinate the tax aspects of accounting and broking system upgrades and integration of newly acquired business.
- Providing advice and managing the communications – prior experience is not essential.
- Initiate tax planning projects in collaboration with business managers to mitigate VAT cost.
- Provide cross coverage for VAT compliance.
- Review contracts, bids, tenders and provide clear written tax advice to the business.
- Provide VAT advice on transfer pricing policy with a view to minimize additional VAT cost.
- Engage in tax controversy and audit defense support.
