Job Description

This role offers continued career progression and a comprehensive supervised training program, aiding candidates to work towards studying the ACCA after having completed the AAT, and become qualified as accountants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trainee accountant in the Corporate Team of the firm.
  • Prepare accounts from both manual and computerized accounting records.
  • Provide both general accounting services and assistance to clients in the preparation of accounts.
  • Work with clients to help improve their accounting systems and controls, assisting clients when required.
  • Recommend improvements to the clients’ accounting systems and controls and assisting clients whenever needed.
  • Prepare VAT returns
  • Budget for your time and keep costs within budget wherever possible.
  • For smaller assignments, plan and complete the accounts file as per the relevant Completion Checklist.
  • Set up files in accordance with the Planning Checklist.
  • Responsibilities will increase as the employee advances through their training.
