• Working under the supervision of the Systems Accountant to maintain the Chart of Accounts, analysis, and reporting structure within the Finance and associated systems.
• Performing reconciliations between finance and non-finance systems where interfaces are not established between systems.
• Maintaining delegation authorities on the Finance and procurement systems.
• Assist the Systems Accountant and in integrations and refinements across the MaPS Finance Department, actively seeking out ways to leverage existing technology to optimize delivery.
• Identify and scope potential new technology investments that drive the continuous improvement agenda across the team and presenting the case to the systems Accountant.
• Supporting the Systems Accountant in undertaking feasibility assessments for new technology investments, crystallizing the benefits proposition and pitching proposals.
• Assist the Finance department in automating the manual tasks by utilizing appropriate tools and technologies.
• Assist the Finance department in identifying inefficiencies, duplication, and waste.
• Providing training to Finance team and non-finance staff and budget holders to perform their role effectively utilizing available finance systems and other technology and tools.
• Supporting the Financial Services team to deliver a variety of projects, including but not limited to, systems, internal controls, taxation, and financial management.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Financial and management accounting knowledge with relevant experience gained in a large and/or complex organization.
• Ability to understand data structures and databases and using accounting and/or Enterprise Resource Systems.
• Fluent in all accounting basics and used to working to tight deadlines and with great attention to detail.
• Intermediate level Excel skills including, pivot tables, v look ups, sum-ifs functions.
• Experience of using SAGE 200 financials and Sage 50 payroll
• Experience of working in a Finance or Systems Analytical role
