As an entry level role, the Accounts Administrator will learn purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control, bank reconciliations. The role would suit a graduate level/entry level individual, who has gained some practical experience in an accounts team and wishes to develop their experience further.
Detailed duties of the Accounts Administrator will include;
Posting ledger entries to accounting system
Coding and posting approved supplier invoices to accounting system
Entering bank payments and receipts on bank systems and accounting system
Daily reconciliation of bank accounts
Reconcile finance accounts and direct debits
Ensuring weekly cash projection is updated and reconciled
Recording of petty cash transactions
Posting and recording of FX contracts
Analysis and posting of expenses
General assistance to Financial Controller as required

An understanding of the purpose of the accounts function Practical experience gained within in an accountancy related role either employment or work experience An intermediate/advanced knowledge of Excel Self assurance and professionalism, confidence on the telephone, who enjoys contributing to a team effort An Accountancy and Finance degree or be working through AAT
