Job Description

The role is varied and as the business continues to scale, there will be an opportunity for growth and progression within the team.

  • Working closely with the teams to ensure costs and revenues are recorded correctly in the accounting system.
  • Production of monthly management accounts including bank reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, maintaining the fixed asset register, intercompany recharges and other transactions.
  • Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Preparing and scheduling fortnightly payment runs.
  • Monitoring and maintaining adequate cash reserves in the bank.
  • Assisting with the preparation of VAT and corporation tax returns.
  • Assisting with the audit as requested.
  • Other ad hoc as appropriate.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • A couple of years' experience working in a similar role (practice or industry).
  • Degree educated and/or working towards an accountancy qualification.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
  • Proficiency in Xero and/or other ERP systems (Oracle Netsuite, Microsoft Business Central and/or others) would be advantageous.
  • Be highly organized with great attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated and proactive self-starter with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and able to adapt to a changing environment.
