Job Description
  • Acting as an escalation point for Group Finance teams when resolving issues arising during the monthly financial close process;
  • Providing review and challenge of regulatory returns before submission to the Regulators 
  • Preparing monthly Executive Committee financial summaries
  • Maintain an awareness and understanding of the key business drivers of the financial results
  • Supporting the reporting to the Audit Committees and Boards
  • Preparation of the annual financial statements including the production of the Strategic and Directors’ report
  • Undertake periodic reviews of end-to-end processes and controls to ensure integrity of the general ledger
  • Maintain an awareness and understanding of the major risks, operational incidents and general ledger reconciliation breaks impacting our legal entities

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • An experienced qualified accountant and hold BSc in Accounting or Finance
  • Proven experience in financial services in a finance role, having deep technical accounting knowledge of global accounting standards (USGAAP and IFRS). Monthly review and challenge of the financial results based on reports and information prepared by Group Finance
  • Fundamental understanding of all elements of a broader finance organization, including, but not limited to: financial and management accounting and expense accounting
  • An ability to quickly grasp complex front-to-back operational processes and system architecture
  • Strong control focus and a continued orientation towards quality
  • Proactive and be able to adapt and react quickly to partner requests in an ever developing business environment
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and experience in communicating effectively with senior partners regarding a range of topics
  • A positive can-do attitude and willingness to learn new things. Proven ability to manage work well under pressure
  • Dedication to fostering an inclusive culture and value diverse perspectives
