Job Description

Your role will be varied and will include being trained so that you can carry out general bookkeeping duties, sales ledger and purchase ledger work, processing invoices, making payments for clients, bank reconciliations, and prepare VAT returns. You will also be responsible for ad hoc projects, including various reports, analysis and business management assignments for a wide range of interesting and high profile clients. Your role will be varied and challenging, and training will be provided where necessary. You will work in a medium size and well established team that will provide you with many growth and development opportunities in the future, including being trained so you can start to prepare statutory accounts and tax returns for clients in the future.

You will work in a friendly and growing team, work on a wide variety of large and receive training so you can progress quickly in the future. The business services department is growing at a rapid rate due to many new business wins from larger accountancy firms.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

To be considered for this new role it is likely you will be studying the AAT or ACCA and have at least 12 months of bookkeeping experience in an accountancy practice firm. You must also live within easy commuting distance. You must also have experience of Xero and QuickBooks Online software (ie cloud based bookkeeping software). You must be confident, professional, a team player and be able to work to tight deadlines. You must be looking to upgrade to a mid-tier practice where you can continue with your bookkeeping and accountancy career.
