Job Description
  • Working closely with the Group Reporting Manager and the team, building an effective Finance leadership function. 
  • Managing the company’s financial control framework, ensuring adherence with our compliance agenda at all times.
  • Working collaboratively with the Executive team and members of the business’ Leadership Forum to grow the business, formulating strategies and plans and being the owner of the long term business plan. 
  • Leading financial due diligence and working with key stakeholders on strategic decisions e.g. financial / commercial transactions.
  • Providing analyses and guidance on the company strategy and influencing decision making. 
  • Collaborating within Finance and with key stakeholders across the business to ensure reporting and variance analyses are issued within tight deadlines, along with providing insightful commentary and recommendations for action.
  • Contributing to company’s planning, budget and forecasting processes, ensuring non-finance stakeholders understand variances, trends and the decisions they have to make. 
  • Leading monthly reporting, ensuring compliance with internal and stakeholders’ requirements.
  • Building and maintaining productive relationships with key stakeholders and business leaders; being recognized as a trusted business partner and advisor by the Executive team, Board of Directors, potential investment partners and key internal stakeholders. 
  • Reviewing, as regularly as required, all cash flow requirements across the Group.
  • Constantly reviewing the Finance processes and systems, ensuring they deliver optimum efficiency for Finance and all company people, and meaningful trend analyses.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proven experience as a Finance leader in a high-growth environment. 
  • Ability to nurture a multi-level Finance team with a balanced approach to both the operational and commercial needs of the business.
  • Both a leader and a hands-on doer (where necessary); able to operate through others as well as executing on work streams directly, balancing macro as well as micro perspectives. 
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with laser-sharp focus on commercial growth.
  • Ability to develop and implement systems, tools and processes that increase clarity and clearly measure results. 
  • Committed team player, with strong collaboration skills, and exceptional communication skills.
  • Strong commercial finance and financial accountancy skills and qualifications. 
  • Fund-raise/M&A and post-deal experience would be preferable.
  • Clear business partnering capability, at multi-level, and with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • A genuinely inclusive mindset, with unquestionable respect for individual differences, and experience of building strong team cultures with ‘human centricity’ at their Centre.
