Job Description
  • To effectively use the IT system for all clinical letters – Finalizing the clinical letters within the operational turnaround requirement.
  • Deal with Consultants requests for typing of urgent correspondence, medico-legal reports and any other appropriate adhoc correspondence requested. On occasion audio typing may be required.
  • Arrange and attend meetings to take minutes for Consultants and management when requested, training can be provided.
  • To answer the telephone and e-mails including shared mailboxes and deal with enquiries from colleagues, GP’s and patient’s in a timely and professional manner.
  • To promptly open incoming mail, uploading to electronically and forwarding to relevant Consultant or department, receiving electronic referrals and dealing with appropriately i.e. making outpatient appointments and help facilitate the patient journey through tracking.
  • Provide cover when other clinical admin officers are on leave/out of office.
  • To obtain and organize information in support of own activities, maintaining confidentiality in accordance with organizational procedures.
  • To ensure that secure systems are in place for the storage of all resources including computerized information.
  • To develop and maintain effective working relationships with other staff in the Department and the Trust, ensuring that a professional and seamless service is provided.
