Job Description
  • Assist the Team Leader in Accounts Payable, administration and expenses;
  • Using highly developed specialist knowledge of financial systems and controls, the post holder will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payments are made to all creditors and for all staff and non-staff expenses. This will involve close liaison with account payable input staff;
  • Working with procurement colleagues to ensure catalogues are updated, quantity/price variances are resolved arranged within established procedures and in a timely manner through liaison with suppliers and other colleagues as necessary;
  • Organize allocated supplier workload, liaising with other finance teams, corporate Departments and business work streams to ensure a smooth workflow and allowing for timetabled business constraints.
  • Ensure quantity/price variances are solved within established procedures and in a timely manner through liaison with suppliers and procurement as necessary;
  • Development & maintaining strong relationships with both third party and internal customers through client visits and site visits to ensure good relationship management;
  • Ensuring all refunded cash is analyzed and cleared on a monthly basis;
  • Managing the whole end to end process of the allocated creditors ledger ensuring critical supplier payments are made within required government mandated terms & supplier contractual arrangements;
  • Making sure supplier invoice problems are identified & queries are proactively highlighted & reported to the organization

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Degree level or recognized experience
  • Experience in dealing with detailed queries in an Accounts Payable department
  • Ability to give clear and concise information to the Team Leader
  • Providing and analyzing creditor information
  • Reviewing and developing financial purchase to pay
  • Excellent IT. skills, intermediate Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative, demonstrating organizational and political awareness
  • An understanding of and commitment to equality of opportunity and good working relationships, both in terms of day-to-day working practices, but also in relation to management systems
