Job Description

The Management Accountant provides technical Accounting assistance and support to the Head of Finance in:

• Assist senior managers with purchasing, stock control, budgets, estimating, forecasts and any subsequent variations of these.
• Assist with the production and compilation of the Company monthly business reports, working closely with the finance team and across the wider business of production, estimating, purchasing, planning and commercial teams to produce high quality comprehensive financial data.
• Manage the implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting, and payroll.
• Assist in the preparation of various financial statements and reports.
• Co-ordinate the installation and maintenance of accounting records to show receipts and expenditures.
• Participate in the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property, and operating expenses, and insurance records.
• Manages and participates in cost analyses and rate studies.
• Prepares statements and reports of estimated future costs and revenues.
• Directs internal audits involving review of accounting and administrative controls.
• Establish system controls for new financial systems (CERM, D365) and develop procedures to improve existing systems.
• Join the team in the preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting liaising with the GT external audit team.
• Directs the installation and maintenance of new accounting, timekeeping, payroll, inventory, property, and other related procedures and controls.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

This Management Accountant position is a newly created role in the team due to continued growth. Ideally you will be systems orientated and have at least 2 years' experience within management accounts. The business is migrating to a new system in the coming months and the Management Accountant will become th first user and "expert" within the team.
